Carol and I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. As you can see, we’ve already gotten a head start with some well-deserved holiday pet shaming. Crystal, The Bear, and Sophie are a big part of the family, and they’re spoiled rotten. All three are rescues, so we’re trying to make up for lost time with lots of love. May you all have a loving home.
Be safe in your travels too. I’m often reminded of this quote from Ernest Hemingway when I’m out on the open road:
“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.”
Luckily and not too often, this one crosses my mind:
“I have found out that there ain’t no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.”
–Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer Abroad
I’ve been fortunate to enjoy some adventuresome journeys with many interesting people over the years. 2014 is right around the corner. May yours be filled with dreams and adventure.
The new CD is almost finished. All the drum-tracking is finished, and short of a few background vocal overdubs, I’m mixing. But that doesn’t mean you have to wait. Right now, you can download the songs that are completed for FREE. I really appreciate everyone who has supported me and comes to this site and reads over my self-indulgences. It’s the least I can do. There’s an individual page for each song that is finished under the “Music” tab on this site, or you can go to my SoundCloud channel and download them there for free. You can share the songs with your friends and family if you wish. In fact it would really help spread the word about the new CD if you did! I’d be most appreciative. If you sign up for my mailing list, you will get immediate updates when new songs (there’s at least eight more) or anything new i.e. blog posts, video, stories etc. are added.
There are lots of new songs posted on the Website. I haven’t decided how many will make the new CD, but you can download them anyway. Just click the SoundCloud link here or at the top right or bottom of each page. There are individual pages under the “Music” tab, which includes lyrics and sometimes stories about the songs. Peace
